The iron block adds 70-100#'s over an LS1 which is 430#'s or so. The 5.3L Long block will weigh 450#'s. The L33 AL block 5.3L will weigh about the same as the LS1 It can handle more power than what you think. Boost is the amount of pressure being put into the manifold. Boost doesnt produce power, its a measurement. Now, the intake is actually better than what people think and there have been a few that I have heard of supporting 600 horse power with a good set of Stage 2 heads and some cams
